In Fenoco we work every day to consolidate a railway operation that is conscious and respectful of the surrounding environment on which our project is based.
As a result, we plan, implement and follow up management measures to prevent, mitigate, correct or compensate for the impacts of the railway operation and the works we develop, complying with the current environmental regulations.
Among other aspects, our environmental administration focuses on:

We monitor the impacts generated by the operation: we have 23 noise monitoring stations along the railway, of which 4 stations operate continuously; 12 air quality monitoring stations from Bosconia to Zona Bananera, and an agreement with CORPAMAG for monitoring in Ciénaga and Santa Marta; and 16 vibration monitoring sites.

We carry out environmental awareness activities with educational institutions on issues such as solid waste management, wildlife conservation, protection of the ozone layer, efficient use of water and energy; and we train our contractors for the proper compliance with the Environmental Management Plan.
LANDSCAPE CONSERVATIONLANDSCAPE CONSERVATION
We carry out activities of forest compensation, we promote the planting of trees by the community through the sponsorship plan, we revegetate the slopes and embankments of the railway and control the sediments that can undermine these structures.
